Are friends the key to a woman’s happiness more so than partners?

friends, friendship, partners, husbands,

We all obviously love our partners to death but there is no denying, no-one, understands a woman like another woman, especially our best friends. I mean what would we do without our girls?

It doesn’t bear thinking about what life would be like if we didn’t have our very best friend at the other end of the phone ready to make us laugh so hard we forgot what we were whinging about.
A new study has shown just how much our girlfriends mean to us when it found our friends’ support is more important to us than our husbands’ happiness. Would you agree?

The study carried out by Arizona State University on 2,000 women found that even when mums were in a strong and happy relationship, their friendships with their girls had a more powerful effect on their stress levels and their well-being.

It also found there are four essential factors that predicted mums’ well-being: unconditional acceptance, feeling comforted during stressful times; quality of relationships – feeling like you can be yourself and friendship satisfaction.
According to researchers, these four qualities play key roles in keeping mums happy and helping them feel supported when dealing with the challenges of motherhood.

Proving we love our boys but there is nothing like the support of girls!
