Now that your baby is officially a toddler there are so many more things they can do and understand like walk, talk, and go the potty on their own. You’re so proud of all your little one’s accomplishments but you can’t help but wish they could grasp a few more concepts such as:
-
Sometimes mum wants to nap alone
Toddlers love to snuggle and as a mum you love to snuggle them right back, but after being woken up four times in the night some days you want to have the whole couch or bed to yourself.
-
Mum’s “juice” is not for you
It may look like yummy grape juice, in fact it is yummy grape juice but mum is not sharing so stop asking!
-
You don’t need to cry to get mum’s attention
Just saying “mum” loud enough will stop us in our tracks.
-
You don’t need to scream “mum” repetitively
We heard you the first time, and then the time after that too.
-
“NO” is not always the answer
Do you want some juice? -NO. Do you want to take a nap? -NO. Would you like another cookie? -NO. Well what would you like?
-
You don’t need to stick everything in your mouth
We know your curious about the world around you but there are other ways to explore and discover instead of sticking that rock in your mouth.
-
I love you, even when I’m mad
Regardless of all the little things our children do to annoy us, we wouldn’t trade them for anything.
