Irish Dads are more likely to lose their children than mums according to new research.

The results of a survey revealed that a third of Irish parents have misplaced their children while out and about and Irish dads are far worse offenders than Irish mums.
Of those surveyed, 81 per cent of parents believed men were more likely to get separated from their kids on days out.
The research, conducted by Kooliobandz, found that shopping centres were the place in which Irish parents lose their children with 56 per cent of all temporary separations occurring here. Other danger zones included the high street, public parks and open areas in the countryside.
Irish parents also believe that little boys are harder to keep track of than girls and 80 per cent of those surveyed believe that boys are more of a handful on a day out.
The study also found that parents between the ages of 45 and 54 were more likely to misplace a child than parents under the age of 35.
