How to remove 7 tough stains from clothing

Stains, we all hate them and know the feeling of dread when we drop a glass of red wine onto our favourite pair of white jeans! Some of them can be ridiculously hard to get out but these quick and simple stain cures will have your clothes back to pristine order in no time!

Coffee

To remove coffee stains run cold water through the back of the stain. This will allow the water to run the stain out the way it came in, avoiding further spreading of the stain. Put clear laundry detergent and cold water on the stain, leaving it for five minutes. Place the clothing in a basin of cold water and rub the stain out with your fingers.

Wine

Wine stains are tough to remove and are a dread to all! This is an easy remedy for red wine stains. Place a kitchen towel on the table or counter and put the area on the clothing with the stain over it. Cover the stain with baking powder and pour club soda over until it starts to make a fizz. Fold the clothing over and rub together with your fingers. Rinse with cold water

Gum

Place the clothing gum faced up into a freezer bag and place in freezer overnight or for several hours. When removed from the freezer scrape the gum off with a knife.

Chocolate

Place a kitchen towel on the table or counter and put the area on the clothing with the chocolate stain over it. Pour milk onto the stain (this lifts the stain from the fabric) and leave for five to ten minutes.

Soy  Sauce

Dry the stain up with a paper towel. Once this is done pour white vinegar over the stain until covered and damp, use a cotton bud to work the vinegar in. Next, pour clear laundry detergent on the stain and rub out in a basin of cold water.

Grease

Sprinkle baking soda, corn starch or baking powder on the stain and leave for half an hour. When you return, brush off the soda with a clean toothbrush and spray with stain removal treatment spray. Wash as directed on label in washing machine and the stain should be gone!

Tomato sauce

Scrape off the tomato sauce with a knife and squirt some dish soap onto the stain. Next, pour white vinegar over the stain. Soak the clothing in a basin of cold water.
