Which extra curricular activities are right for your child?

With your child now attending school, it might be the right time to start thinking about getting them involved in an extra curricular activity that they like. Sports, drama and music are common activities and all have their benefits, but it’s important to find one that your child really loves and feels confident in. This will help them grow and develop into creative, confident adults! Which is all any parent wants really.

Gymnastics

You can enroll your children in gymnastics classes from as young as 3 years of age, and in our experience kids love gymnastic classes! They can learn how to balance, jump, and go through different obstacles, as well as discovering their flexibility.

Dance

Dance builds confidence, coordination, and kinesthetic intelligence. and children love to DANCE! Children can be enrolled in dance classes as young as 3 or 4 years of age, so get those dancing shoes out!

Swimming

Swim classes create awareness, especially about personal safety. It also helps children develop personal growth, which helps with self-development and development of others. You can enroll your children in swim class when they are babies (around 4-5 months). Swimming can help them feel comfortable in the water and at the same time helped build their motor and movement skills.

Sports

Gaelic football, soccer, basketball, athletics, you name it, they are all great for little kids! They teach them the importance of exercise as well as building their understanding of teamwork! You can start your little tot off on their very first sports team from as young as 5 or 6, so get the camera out because those tiny sports kits are adorable!
